Fairways
The Show
Told through 17 new songs, including the "New Shoe Soft Shoe," the "Practice Range Rap," and the "Leader Board Blues," Fairways is the witty and sophisticated story of two people learning not only the game of golf, but also the life lessons it teaches.
Sam is trying to learn the basics from Byron, his father, in order to play in his first business match; Kathy is learning so that she can play the mother-daughter tournament and help her mother settle an old rivalry with Nancy.
The Pro and the Caddie offer helpful practice tips and observations, but these don't prepare Sam or Kathy for the challenges they face on the course.
Sam gets a very lucky hole-in-one to impress his boss, while Kathy's honesty costs her mom and her the tourney, but wins her the attention (and love) of Sam.
